Description
This Xhosa traditional blanket is traditionally used to wrap the body for burial.
It is occasionally used during the initiation ceremony.
Tribal Black Stipe has an open selvedge to which the family of the deceased will attach a binding and add embroidery depicting the person’s life story.
Composition: 55% acrylic / 40% polyester / 5% cotton.
Size: 180 x 200 cm
Wash Care Instructions:
Gentle wash
Do not bleach
Do not iron
Dry cleanable
Do not tumble dry
Reccomend blanket to be air dried naturally
Keep away from fire
